"Lila Carmichael is a good girl, a high-achieving academic, punctual to a fault, unfailingly conscientious - and embarrassingly inexperienced. After graduating from Princeton, Lila moves to New York City and begins her job search. Innocent and naïve, she is swept away by an uncharacteristic bloom of total abandon as soon as she meets the tall, dark-eyed CEO of Wolfe Enterprises. Under Alexander's potent influence, Lila undergoes a thorough transformation from demure virgin to lusty goddess in just two days. Given her upbringing, it's only natural that Lila would be attracted to such a pinnacle of stability, but as emotion and lust entwine, she begins to question the motives behind her covetous, hedonistic desires.

Alexander Wolfe needs a new assistant to help him run his publishing empire. One résumé in particular catches his eye and he decides to interview the candidate one-on-one in his private penthouse office. When a green-eyed goddess walks in, Alexander, for the first time in his life, finds himself powerless to resist. The difficulties of his past ensure that his protective instincts are fiercely attuned, and Lila's vulnerabilities, combined with her nubile body and voracious new appetites, only succeed in ensnaring Alexander past the point of no return.

Set in New York and Paris, Lila and Alexander's connection is a whirlwind of lust, love, jealousy and obsession. Will they find their happily ever after?"

3.5 PANTY MELTING STARS!

Holy Crap! This book was STEAMY and HOT! Billionaire revolves around the sex between Lila and Alexander. The story is written in alternating POV’s between Lila and Alexander. Sure this book lacks some character development, but when you pick up an erotica, most of the time this aspect isn’t the main focus anyway. If you are looking for a raunchy, dirty, sexy read to occupy your evening, this may be perfect for you.

The version I read has all parts (1-7) combined into one story, so unlike most of the short and sweet erotic books, this one will keep you reading for hours. Ms. Jones has a way with her wording that just draws you right into the story. She writes good quality sex scenes. One encounter in particular that occurred while the couple was in Paris will definitely stick with me for awhile.

The only issue I have with Billionaire is the fact that Lila, a barely 20ish virgin,  just jumped right into this intense, uninhibited sexual escapade so very easily without even blinking an eye. She practically slept with him within the first five minutes of meeting him! This story also starts off very ’50 Shades’ like and I was hoping for a little more depth within the plot but overall I was satisfied and enjoyed reading the rest of the book.

I recommend Billionaire to readers that like Erotic stories revolving around rich, powerful and dominant men that are successful with capturing a timid, inexperienced, needy woman.

I give Billionaire, 3.5 PANTY MELTING STARS!

Perfectly Broken by Prescott Lane

Even after years of trauma therapy, Peyton still believes she’s broken. She has little desire to date or show off her natural beauty, content simply to hang out with her best friends and run her pie shop in New Orleans. But her world turns upside-down when a handsome architect and self-confessed player shows up in her shop and thinks she’s perfect, much more than the usual hook-up. While Peyton does her best to resist his charms, believing she could never be enough for him, she can’t deny the obvious heat between them. With Reed determined to have her, Peyton must decide whether to continue to hide behind her apron and baggy clothes or take a chance and share her scars with Reed, a man with a playboy reputation and scars of his own -- a dark past he can’t possibly share with Peyton, not after learning the horrors she’s endured. But if they can find a way to trust each other, and themselves, they just might be able to heal, to save each other, to live perfectly broken together.

JAMIE'S REVIEW:

You’re enough for me. You’re everything to me. You’re all I need.” -Reed
4.5 LOVE CONQUERS ALL STARS!
This book was intriguing and addicting from start to finish. Perfectly Broken is the story of Peyton and Reed, with sub-characters Quinn, Bret and Griffin. Peyton and Reed are both struggling with personal issues when it comes to dating and relationships. With help from their friends, family and a therapist, they both learn how to love, trust and have complete faith in each other, regardless of what happens along the way. They both needed to learn a hard lesson, which is that keeping secrets from one other, no matter how small in meaning, can come back and cause emotional stress or damage later on.

At first I was a little skeptical because the story is written in the 3rd POV. I was afraid that with all the jumping around of characters and their thoughts, the personal connection might not develop with the reader. In this case it really worked out well for the story to actually be in the 3rd POV. Perfectly Broken is one of those books where you just can’t wait to hear what the other person in the conversation is thinking.

One aspect of the book I also loved was how Ms. Lane used real places from New Orleans and included it in some of the scenes. This made everything much more realistic for me. I was just recently in New Orleans and I felt like I was visiting some of the local “hotspots” all over again.

I think most New Adult romance readers will really enjoy Perfectly Broken. It has all the aspects and elements of a good, heartfelt, first real love romance that takes time, effort and patience to build.

I give Perfectly Broken, 4.5 LOVE CONQUERS ALL STARS!

The Beast by Jaden Wilkes

"Dimitri Sokolov is a man scarred, physically and emotionally. From the rough streets of Moscow to the highest ranks in the Solntsevskaya Bratva, he has seen it all.

An attack four years ago left him disfigured and in seclusion, hiding from reactions to his appearance and in safety from those who failed to kill him the first time.

Comfortable in his penthouse, managing his billion dollar businesses, he's resigned himself to be alone, simply called The Beast among those who've dealt with him in the past.

Columbia Grey is a pseudo-activist trying to save her neighbourhood from a developer intent on levelling it to build apartment towers. She goes along with a plan to confront the CEO of the company on his own turf, to force him to listen to her demands...all in a pathetic attempt to impress a man she barely likes.

Little does she know, she's taken herself into the mouth of the beast, a man familiar with death and destruction, sex and seduction, a man used to getting exactly what he wants and a man with nothing left to lose.

She's a beauty, but will that be enough to tame the beast and save her life?"

*** Warning, this is a classified as a dark erotic novel. It deals with some pretty heavy themes. It may trigger those who have experience sexual abuse, rape, violence, basically a shitty childhood or life in general. I must be kind of messed in the head, because I thought it was a touching story full of amazing imagery and people with hearts that continue to beat and seek the beauty in the world in spite of life grinding them into nothingness. Apparently some early reviewers have found mainly the darker elements, so consider this your warning, for what it's worth. This is not a fairy tale, this is what happens when the music ends and life goes on after the credits roll. This is about simply existing until you find yourself and write your own happily ever after, no matter what form it takes. ***

JAMIE'S REVIEW:
4 EMOTIONALLY CAPTURING STARS!
“This ARC was kindly given to me in exchange for an honest review.”

Right from the get-go, The Beast reminded me of the classic Disney tale, Beauty and the Beast but it entails a much darker plot with emotionally damaged characters. This story is specifically geared for a mature adult audience.
“I trust you with my life, my heart, with everything. I belong to you.” –Columbia
Columbia and Dimitri have imperfections, both physically and mentally. This surprisingly makes them a perfect pair together.

Columbia always feels out of place and self conscience of her body from a cutting addiction, originating from experiences surrounding her messed up family. Cutting is her high, her way to maintain control, her pleasure/release.

Dimitri stems from a background filled with constant death and violence.  He now feels trapped and alone in his high rise apartment because he also has a flawed physical appearance. Columbia and Dimitri are extremely strong-willed, intelligent and perfectly capable of deeply loving others around them, they both just need to figure that out.

This is a dark erotic read, so expect several sexual encounters throughout the story filled with rough acts and intense scenes. A few situations include some mild violence but I think Ms. Wilkes does a wonderful job at keeping the sex hot and thrilling… not centering all the sex on getting raped and grotesque  demeaning acts.

Many of the kidnapping stories that I’ve read lately from other authors include violent rape scenes where the woman easily “get off” on being tortured almost to the point of death. I realize these are all works of fiction but in order for me to 100% connect with the abused/helpless character and really “feel” for them, their emotions and actions should be somewhat realistic in nature. The Beast has a perfect mix of what I’d call “rough kinky play” and it’s every bit believable to me.
The Beast is one of those stories that you just have trouble putting away, simply because you are constantly wondering what will happen next. It’s unpredictable at times, especially toward the end. If you are a fan of dark erotic romance stories written by authors like Aleatha Romig or Belle Aurora, then I honestly think that you’ll really enjoy The Beast.

I just absolutely LOVE Ms. Wilkes writing. I fell in love with her work after reading, Dirty Little Freaks and I will forever be a loyal fan…
I give The Beast, 4 EMOTIONALLY CAPTURING STARS!

JAMIE'S REVIEW:

*This book was kindly given to me from the Author and Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.*

This book is all six parts of the story combined into one book.

His to Possess is definitely a little different than I was expecting. The beginning starts off very similar to many other mainstream erotic romance stories, with the extremely rich man reaching out to a woman in desperate need of help. He finds her, offers his assistance, she accepts and the romantic affair takes off from there. When Storm, the ex-boyfriend comes into the story, this book really changes direction. I think the last 40% of this book made His to Possess a standout for me.

Ms. Carew always does a remarkable job with writing erotic scenes. I really connected with the characters feelings fairly quickly and her writing style is easy to follow. Sometimes, erotic writers are very vague with describing the characters actions clearly for the reader in sexual scenes, or the characters will be too jumpy or awkward, but she did fantastic with this task! It was very believable.

If you love Erotica and are looking for a quick and easy read, I highly recommend His to Possess! This is an intense erotic romance with an ending that will leave you with a “Wow, did that really just happen?” feeling because the change in the story was much unexpected. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, so you will just have to read it yourself, to see what I mean. J

I rate His to Possess 4 STEAMY STARS!

"Emma

Who I am and all I believe is marred with just one glance into angry, steel blue eyes. He seems to control my air, my ability to breathe. He makes me crave everything I know is a sin. Pure becomes tainted and lines are blurred. It's my fault; I'm the one who isn't strong enough. I've been damaged...broken. Breck's words haunt me...'There's a consequence for every choice you make.'

Breck

I've had so many women I can't even remember over half of their names, but none of them are mine; I make damn sure of that. I take what I desire and never look back. I don't need or want anyone, ever...not until I met Emma. Those eyes bore into what's left of my soul and her touch sears me, weakens me. I want to hate her for that. She is my ruin...my sweetest hell.

JAMIE'S REVIEW:
This story was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This story in one word, AMAZING! In my opinion, Karen-Anne develops top-notch bestseller list quality work! NO FUCKING JOKE! The way that she can weave words together easily sucks you right into the story. Ash to Steele is by far my favorite book by Ms. Stewart and this story will stay with me for awhile.

There is a consequence for every choice you make.” –Emma

This quote pretty much sums up the underlining meaning behind this story. Ash to Steele is written in alternating POV’s between Breck and Emma. Emma left her hometown behind her when she moved to Boston, hoping that her career as an artist would blossom. She is the daughter of a pastor and at the age 23-23, she’s still a virgin. Although she isn’t sexually active, her urges and desires are very intense.

When she meets Breck, she quickly becomes infatuated with him. Emma is extremely intelligent and knows that a player like Breck is not someone she should ever fantasize about or encounter, but she just can’t resist him. On the other hand, Breck has HUGE demons of his own to deal with. He was forced to make decisions that ultimately made him who is now as a character.
Let’s talk about Breck for a minute…

Breck Steele is 100% BOOK BOYFRIEND MATERIAL! He‘s a hot, womanizing, dominate and gorgeous man. He has a successful career as a restaurant owner; he drives a motorcycle, is a fighter by nature and has some tattoos.  He’s sometimes a little aggressive and extremely possessive. He’s also protective, loving and caring to those he chooses to include in his life.

You can only imagine how a relationship between Breck and Emma might end up…

Ash to Steele is a crazy ride, but oh so worth the read! This book is filled with a lot of intense scenes and dramatic moments that make it very hard to put the book away. I'm recommending that everyone give this one a chance. I think those that enjoy books similar to Jamie McGuire’s, Beautiful Disaster series will seriously love Ash to Steele! I highly doubt many readers will be disappointed after finishing this book because Ash to Steele has everything you could ever want in a New Adult Romance. Period.

I give Ash to Steele 5+++ ADDICTING STARS!

Can Branden and Moya once again overcome their trials and prove that their love is indeed true, or will past ghosts and new temptations drive them apart forever?"

JAMIE'S REVIEW:
***This book was kindly given to me in exchange for an honest review***

“Life is short. Don’t play with it.”
Impossibly True takes off where the story stopped in Impossibly Love. The one thing that really stands out for me in this installment of the series is how the relationship between Brandon and Moya seem so realistic. These two characters are a typical everyday couple you can easily imagine living in the real world. They both have emotional struggles with their families, are trying to live a normal college life and they’re learning to deal with Brandon’s medical hindrance together as a couple.
I love how the author is able to weave this in-depth web of personalities that truly brings the story to life. Her characters are not perfect, not always making the best decisions, and sometimes lack in their confidence. Unrealistic characters make a story hard for me to follow or get into. With Impossibly True, this is not an issue at all.
“Big things would come, and we might experience failure along the way, but we’d always have each other and that’s when they’d see that our love was true after all."
One of the issues Brandon and Moya had to face throughout the story was acceptance from both sides of their families. Yes, they were young and in love. Yes, Brandon had medical issues that could sometimes be an issue. Yes, there is a chance that they won’t make it as a couple, but isn’t that the chance you have to take for love? They both have faith in one other that their relationship will prevail in the end. Brandon and Moya love and want each other around.

I recommend Impossibly True to other New Adult romance readers out there that enjoy a real love story without all the fluff. Yes, there is some drama but it’s not over the top or dark. This is a quick, light and thoroughly entertaining read.
I give this fantastic story 4 IMPOSSIBLY TRUE STARS!
