MY REVIEW:
If you’re familiar with my reviews then you know that I’ve
read quite a few famous rock stars novels, some were fan-freaking-tastic and others
were simply okay. Well, I am happy to report that I have just added another novel
to my rock star list: For All the Right
Reasons by Ann Lister, and it was pretty darn good. There were some clichéd moments, but for the
most part this was an original novel. Ann Lister wrote a romantic, entertaining,
and emotional story, and I look forward to reading more novels by her in the
future.
For All the Right
Reasons is Jenna and Ben’s love story, and their story is a blend of sweet,
sad, and sexy. Jenna, a famous photographer, was hired to go on tour with the
band Reckless and take photographs of the band performing and hanging out behind
the scenes. This isn’t Jenna’s first gig. She has been doing this for years,
and she never lets herself get emotionally attached to any of her clients. She hasn’t
let anyone in in a long time, until Ben. Ben is the lead singer and guitarist for the
band Reckless. He’s a sexy rock star and a fabulous hero. Jenna and Ben’s
relationship develops gradually. They become friends and then lovers. While
reading this novel, I cheered them on and cursed at their stupidity (Ahem…Jenna!).
You won’t be able to stop yourself from falling in love with them.
Except for the gigantic skip in time at the end of this
novel, the plot was perfect and the conclusion was even better.
I gave For All the
Right Reasons by Ann Lister 4 STARS (3.5 STARS). I recommend this novel to
adults who enjoy rock stars and romance.
